NEOWAVE, a French company specializing in strong authentication, is unveiling a new generation of Winkeo2 USB-A and USB-C security keys. They enable MFA authentication, strong certificate-based authentication, Passwordless authentication, HOTP, and TOTP. Their modernized design and more intuitive rear button make user-presence verification easier. They protect against phishing and password theft, while offering a more ergonomic user experience.
A structured and extensive offering
Based on proven protocols, these new keys secure access without relying on vulnerable passwords. Their modernized design aligns with the brand’s visual identity and is aimed at both businesses and individuals, combining simplicity, security, and ease of use.
Designed and manufactured 100% in France, these keys are labeled “Cybersecurity Made in Europe” and are available in four product families:
– Winkeo2-A/C QSCD for strong certificate-based authentication, with an eIDAS-certified PKI/QSCD application
– Winkeo2-A/C FIDO2, compatible with the FIDO2 Passkeys (CTAP2.1) and FIDO2 U2F standards for passwordless authentication
– Winkeo2-A/C FIDO2 + OTP, a new range integrating FIDO2, TOTP, and HOTP technologies
– Winkeo2-A FIDO2 + QSCD, integrating FIDO2 and PKI/QSCD technologies
These keys incorporate a Common Criteria EAL6+ certified smart card component and meet European regulatory requirements: RGS, GDPR, PSD2, and NIS 2. They are compatible with most operating systems and browsers and are perfectly suited for use with identity federations. The FIDO2 products have just obtained FIDO L1 certification.
This range is part of a broader offering that includes Badgeo contact and contactless/NFC smart cards, enabling it to meet the needs of all usage environments for logical and physical access control.
A response to current cybersecurity challenges
In a context of increasing phishing attacks and password compromises, these keys provide an operational solution for securing cloud access, business accounts, email, VPNs, business applications, and sensitive environments.
These new keys will be presented at the TRUSTECH trade show, from December 2 to 4, 2025, in Paris – Porte de Versailles, at booth C084.
