NEOWAVE, a French specialist in strong authentication and secure digital transactions, announces that four of its FIDO2 products have been officially listed by the French Digital Health Agency (Agence du Numérique en Santé – ANS) as Electronic Identification Means (EIM) compatible with Pro Santé Connect. They are the first FIDO2 products on the market to be officially listed by the ANS.

A new milestone in strengthening healthcare professional authentication

Operated by the French Digital Health Agency (Agence du Numérique en Santé – ANS), Pro Santé Connect is the national authentication service that enables healthcare professionals to securely access digital health services.

To expand the range of electronic identification means compatible with this service, the ANS has published its first official list of FIDO2 authentication devices. The listed devices are all part of NEOWAVE’s FIDO2 product portfolio: Badgeo NFC FIDO2, Badgeo Dual FIDO2, Winkeo2J-A FIDO2, and Winkeo2J-C FIDO2.

This initiative aims to provide secure, interoperable authentication solutions tailored to real-world healthcare environments. Authentication using FIDO2 security keys and smart cards is already available in the Pro Santé Connect test environment. Production deployment, scheduled for September 2026, will enable healthcare institutions, software vendors and system integrators to prepare for the first operational rollouts.

This official listing also opens new deployment opportunities within the ANS-led HospiConnect programme, helping to strengthen digital identities and secure access to digital services across healthcare institutions.

According to the ANS, 764 cybersecurity incidents were reported across the French healthcare and medico-social sectors in 2025. Credential theft remains one of the most significant threats, with phishing campaigns and credential-stealing malware continuing to be among the most common attack vectors. In this context, strengthening authentication has become a key cybersecurity priority.
